One thing I love about the internet is the endless possibilities to find different looks from all over the world. It is amazing to discover styles influenced by cultures and of course climate. 7 days and 7 looks from London and Dubai were already a blast and now I have Carelia on board from My Small Wardrobe to show you how an ageless girl born in Honduras styles her vintage-mixed-contemporary life while living in the USA. Let yourself sink into a lot of energy and spontaneousness with a true #DRESSFUN girl, who has a small wardrobe but always a big smile. Here come 7 looks by Carelia, with her personal notes on each styles.
In this outfit I’m wearing a jumpsuit by Madewell, vintage coat, Mansur Gavriel bag, vintage Chanel sunglasses, and Christian Louboutin pumps. Due its clean lines, this ensemble is perfect for the office. Classic simple pieces are always a great idea to wear to work, regardless of your profession.
Sometimes I feel more creative than usual and I like to pull off eclectic looks that satisfy my imagination. In this opportunity, I decided to wear a denim jacket with patches that I placed myself. The fun skirt and the hat added even more fun to my eclectic look. The denim jacket is by Gap, the skirt is vintage, espadrilles by Castañer, hat by Scala, sunglasses by House of Harlow and vintage jewelry. I can see me wearing this outfit to a local music festival or outdoors art gallery.
Just add a pair of fun leg wear to your work shoes and wear a chic hat, and you will be all set for drinks after work. In this look, I’m wearing a blazer by Banana Republic, Pants by Tahari, Shoes by Marni, Bag by Mansur Gavriel, hat by H&M, shirt by Theory, socks by Topshop and sunglasses by Yves Saint Laurent.
So what do I wear to run errands when it is raining? I simply stick with the appropriate shoes for rain, comfortable clothes and of course, a trench coat and umbrella to keep me dry while jumping in and out of my car. In this look I’m wearing boots by Ash, Jeans by J.Brand, trench coat by Burberry (vintage), sunglasses by Saint Laurent, umbrella by Totes.
I love this look because I wore it on my honeymoon vacation in Puerto Rico. This look is perfect for touring any new town. Despite the heel of the espadrilles I felt as comfortable as if I was wearing sneakers. The jeans are by American Eagle, espadrilles by Castañer, bag is vintage, belt is made in Guatemala and Italian vintage scarf.
One of my favorite places to go on my days off is to North Carolina vineyards. I wear comfortable boho-like clothes – just because it goes so well with the vineyards atmosphere. In this look I’m wearing a Lee vintage skirt, sandals by Free People, blouse by Warehouse, bag is vintage and Chanel vintage sunglasses.
This look was inspired by the movie “Roman Holiday” with Audrey Hepburn. The entire look is so romantic, therefore, perfect for a date with my significant other. I’m wearing my Burberry vintage trench, Vintage dress, Saint Laurent pumps, vintage belt, vintage bag, vintage scarf and Saint Laurent sunglasses.
