Citrus-Ginger smoothie

I usually do the citrus-ginger smoothie in the mornings as it’s good for the digestive system and as well to have the right dose of vitamins into my rather long days. Call it a wake-up smoothie, the yellow fruits will provide you a tasty yet healthy breakfast while ginger is great natural detoxification agent because of its ability to fire up your body’s detoxification work and purge toxins from the body.

  • half of a grapefruit – peeled
  • 1 orange – peeled
  • 1/2 cup of mango slices
  • 1/2 cup of carrot slices
  • 1 chunk fresh ginger – peeled, minced
  • 1/2 cup of 100% apple juice

Toss all of the ingredients into your high speed blender and blend for 30-45 seconds or until the desired consistency is reached.

Green smoothie

Just in time for cold and flu season, immunity-boosting fruits are at their peak. This green smoothie is an antioxidant powerhouse that’s high in vitamin C and fiber that will be your best medicine. Just like the Citrus-Ginger smoothie, this one will as well provide you with a powerful kick into the day. If you choose to have it for supper, replace the green tea with 100% apple juice or plain water so you can have a nice sleep.

Banana smoothie

Banana smoothie is made with soy milk and/or Greek yoghurt and spiked with warming spices or even with chia seeds counts as such a dessert. If you have a sweet tooth and wish this drink to replace your breakfast or your gym-after meal, boost it with cocoa and tofu. With plenty of protein from both tofu and soy milk, this banana-split-inspired breakfast smoothie will keep you satisfied for sure. Watch out, it’s amazingly tasty!
