All the best sales items are long gone, the new season is right ahead of us, it is really time now to take a good look around and find new inspiration for the following autumn/winter. I already can tell: the new season will not be boring, nor too dark. The list that follows is not at all objective, I rather focused on upcoming trends I personally find attractive.
Textured cover ups
Supersize cover ups are going to be essentials, fur it or fake it, it is fancy either way. It is wise to balance the dominant textures with wearing fine fabrics or skinny cuts under them. Last season I have became a big fan of fake fur and at the beginning of summer (best timing, right ???? ) I have purchased a wonderful fake fur jacket from Miu Miu (see here) via Vestiaire Collective.
Blue, green, terracotta and white
Wearing all black everything, like those extremely chic Italian ladies do, is in the past now, or at least for me it is. I do not want to have everything in dark this winter, so all beautiful colours that have a darker tone are welcome. While camel-game is going on strong, king blue, poison green (or similar green to this dress) or terracotta are on my list and I would never give up on my favourite: white, white, white. And this dark green velvet coat from MSGM below is a dream..
Hats, biker-jackets, shoes or bags – with suede you can’t go wrong in the new season. I will keep my own advice regarding choosing suede and look for quality leather tho, cause I really do not like when suede smells strong. My current favourite suede piece is this hat by Emilio Pucci. Love it. Big time.
Loving lace ups didn’t stop at sandals. After the big flat, roman style storm, finally a pretty, heeled version is taking its’ well deserved place on our feet. In my opinion Chloé does it best, but there are a lot of other pretty, feminine lace up styles to love for colder times. The Gucci one below is a really cute option, I love the idea of the little pom-poms dancing by every step.
