If something then winter beauty care is quite a bit of a challenge… and here we go again. Thanks to the cold air outside and the overheated air inside dry skin and hair is all around. They do not only get dull and dry but they also lose from their healthy summer glow. To survive the season, let’s fight the dryness with these winterish beauty products you find below.
+ Shampoo & Conditioner: I think my hair is even more sensitive than my skin, which is strange but hence to fight it, I love to experiment with different products. I recently fell in love with Sachajuan’s shampoo and soothing solution: the conditioner. The products infused with famed Nordic microalgae, the range helps revive dull, worn-out strands. Thank you Sweden!
+ Facial: A Day&Night intensely nourishing and moisturizing cream is all we need. Clarins’ Hydraquench Rich Cream is especially suited for very dry skin or very cold climates during daytime. As for the night the Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery creams help skin recover this sleep debt and helps restore cellular renewal alike from Clarins.
+ Lips: Probably the most crucial part of our face is the lips that needs the most attention. Clarins’ lip care with nourishing properties helps to repair dry and cracked lips. A good lipstick provides a barrier against the climatic assaults and results beautiful pinkish lips. PS When it comes to ski holidays, I’m using the classy Neutrogena SPF15 lip moisturiser too.
+ Body: It’s most important to apply lotion after a shower or a bath. Your body will be grateful, you will see. Certainly the hands, elbows and heels deserve a special treatment but don’t forget about the rest of your body either. Have you tried MALIN+GOETZ’s vitamin moisturizer? It’s really good.
MAKE-UP & NAILS:
+ Blusher: To make your white winter skin alive, create a long-lasting, natural glow with Kevyn Aucoin’s duet of coral and tan shades. The non-greasy cream formula glides on easily for a smooth and streak-free finish. Perfect for lips and cheeks, both colors in this compact can be used alone or mixed together. Smart, right?
+ Nail oil: Just as the hair and the skin our nails need extra protection during fall and winter too (no, glows will not do all the protection). Apricot Cuticle Oil from Essie is hydrating and moisturising oil for dry nails, cuticles and hands. Add one drop on each nail and massage in.
Going against all the greyness, during fall and winter it’s always a good idea to add a hint of colour. Here I refer to blushers, BB creams, nail polish and lipsticks if you wish to offset the foggy landscape.
Oh and just one more thought: of course these amazing products do the work much more efficiently when you drink enough water, sleep and appropriate amount and take your daily amount of vitamins and antioxidant-rich foods. Do you ladies have favourite products for the colder season that you’d highly recommend?
