Fall’s favourites: checks and tweeds

The versatility of fall fashion is my absolute favourite!  I feel like Alice in wonderland when I take a look at all the beautiful new designs that are available for the current season and I am totally in the mood to try things I didn’t like much before. For example I have never been a big fan of checks, I always thought it is just too nerdy, but somehow lately I got totally under the spell of the trend and fall for this checked tweed skirt.

Tweeds are associated with Chanel in my mind, ultimate classic vibe, although today there is no designer who hasn’t made something out of tweed. And checked tweed is this season’s absolute favourite, so in case you are a true fashionista, make sure you have something in the style.

There are a lot of ways to be checked and tweeded (lol) currently. Long coats are one of the most obvious signs of a being on trend, but a checked tweed skirt is just as well on point. What I like the most about this trend is that the colours are bright, even sometimes shimmery, and this just transforms the granny style into a cool and chic attire. Adding some kick-ass boots like this one from Givenchy makes this look a perfect mix & match but any heels or over the knee boots would fit beautifully to the style.

For this year most likely this was the last look shot outside without a coat, but if there would be one, I think it would be this one or a similar, oversized style. What kind of cover up would you add to this look?
