In case you follow my style-journey you already know how much I appreciate comfort in fashion. Sometimes I just like to grab and pull things on, simple as it is, but it does not mean that I do not care of how I look. That is why I highly appreciate basic pieces with a twist. Like a sequined denim. Or like a heavy knit top with knit laces, like this Isabel Marant top – my favourite knit design of the season.
There are a few basic elements -such as distressed jeans or chunky knits- I cant imagine my wardrobe without. And when they have something that makes the basic design look interesting I like them even more. And regarding perfect-design-with-a-twist, this Isabel Marant top is just a masterpiece. Firstly it has a special shape: cropped and the sleeves are extra long. The shape of the top makes small shoulders look a bit wider and the waist look smaller. The second favourite part of it is that it is laced with a knit lace. Despite of the deep cut the thick knit lace makes the cut look modest. It is a pretty and cozy piece of clothing, I know I will make good use of it this season.
The skirt is an old love of mine, I have it for a few seasons back now and I just can’t get bored of it. You already could have seen it in my LOOKbook or recently on the Danish Fashion-Post website, where I styled it as part of the 7 days 7 looks project. The bag normally has a strap (actually two different straps, one in Gucci colours and one in suede), I just took it off and used it as a clutch. x
