Those who follow the happenings of street style fashion surely remember the look of Mira Duma on the latest Milan Fashion Week in February. The vintage style logo print Coca Cola t-shirt in pink has started a new come back of the logo trend plus the oh-so-popular high waisted jeans from bloggers’ favourite Vetments are sold out since.
When I was a child my grandma bought me a t-shirt with a huge Pepsi logo on it (she didn’t care much of the meaning but the colours were nice and the price was good) and that might be the reason I have got so sentimental when I spotted Mira Duma in that vintage Coca Cola t-shirt. Despite of the official statement of Vogue about the new era of logo trend, in general I do not like having any brand icons displayed visibly on my clothing cause I find it absolutely inappropriate to show off whatever brand you are wearing (unless it is a iconic label). It is much better when the logo you are carrying around on you is not a trademark of a clothing label. And when it is a cult brand like Coca Cola, your favourite music band or a logo of a cultural icon like Pan Am then I have no words against.
I have found my Pan Am t-shirt at the very bottom of my closet and I am so glad I did. Oh well, lets make the story straight here: originally it was not my t-shirt. It was my husband’s. But after accidentally washing it in 60 degree in the washing machine magically it became my size (yay) . And for completing the strangely harmonic look I added a long trench coat, high waisted jeans and a pair of beautiful heels by Celine. Btw I got these pretty and coveted shoes on Vestaire Collective for a dream price! The bag is also Celine but you already know that from this post, right?
How do you like this look? Are you up for the logo trend?
