It was such a beautiful day to capture this culottes and Chanel boy bag look – a bit late for photo shooting, but the sunset made the whole work golden. Literally. Just check out the pics..
The most complicated thing with this outfit was to find the location for the shooting (but we did it well, right? 😉 ), otherwise this is such a relaxed, easy going look that just feels right. Actually I wear nothing new, the newest item is probably the white t-shirt I got last month or so. The loose culottes are from Mango – last season but there are a lot of alternatives to this style, see below. These pants are big favourites of mine and not only because the colour (kaki) is my very favourite colour ever but because they are so breezy, so comfortable and very easy to combine with anything, shoes or tops regardless. Also I wear a pair of Balenciaga wedges and my investment piece Chanel boy to put the crown on this relaxed still chic attire. The cat-eye sunnies are Parada and the choker is a leather design from Ole Lyngaard (amazing jewelries!) – usually people wear it as a double twist armband, putting pretty charms on it, but as it fits perfectly around my neck I really like it as a choker as well.
In general I think culottes are a great piece of clothing for any occasions. What for me is important when choosing one pair is the fabric and the exact length. I like when the fabric is light and the length should be almost as long as a cropped style. Under the knee cuts are not so good looking on girls with a little stronger calfs, so I never wear such a length. These culottes have a really high waste and that is the perfect trick to make anyone look optically slimmer. Any rules you follow when it comes to culottes? Would love to hear about them! x
